Friday 7th February 2003 – An Explosion At The Factory

The FactoryAn Explosion At The Factory

I was sitting on the bank of the Thames, alone with my thoughts, in the darkness of the quary. The factory loomed behind me and I waited. Still. Quiet. Safe.

A breeze caught the side of my face and I heard the reeds swaying and I heard a conversation between Deacon and Sally. My bruising was so sore that I was having difficulty in hearing their words, but it sounded like they were trying to work something out.

In my depression I tried to ignore them and thought hard about all the evidence in my head. What the hell did it all mean? How did it all fit?

The conversation between Deacon and Sally grew louder until I was startled by Deacon’s voice shouting in my ear “RAYMOND!”

I jumped at once to my feet, my heart racing and with that the sky caught fire as the factory was torn apart by the explosion that ripped through and sent it to oblivion.
The blast struck me and I was sent flying through the air, my face scorched by the heat, and I landed headfirst into the river.

I was unconcious and was suddenly in a great deal of danger.

My apologies for jumping forward in time like this, but I wanted to remember this moment. This event slips from my mind so easily so when it returned this time, I just had to write it down.
